🚢 Ship & Travel💥 Naval Combat⚔️ Combat & Builds🏗️ Building Tricks⛏️ Resource Farming🍲 Food, Farming & Healing🧭 Progression & Quality of Life

🚢Ship & Travel

Fast travel from your ship

Grab the helm, open the map, and fast travel directly from the water. Great when your bell is on the wrong side of an island.

🧭

Find your first Fast Travel Bell early

Check the boat wreckage on the far eastern side of the starting island; the first bell unlocks the recipe for crafting more.

🔔

Carry a Fast Travel Bell

Drop a temporary bell before long loot runs, unload at base, come back, then dismantle it for a full material refund.

🔟

You can only keep 10 player bells active

Treat bells as a route network: base, dangerous dungeons, rare resources, faction hubs, and current quest islands. Remove old ones.

🏠

Bring a Homeward Journey backup

A Homeward Journey item is a panic button when your bags are full or your route back gets dangerous.

🛶

Use the dinghy to slip past danger

Enemy ships may shoot at the dinghy but are very unlikely to hit, making it useful for sneaking to quest islands.

📦

Use ship storage from nearby

You can add or withdraw items from the flagship menu while near the ship, saving the swim back onto deck.

🚢

Ship cargo survives ship destruction

If your ship is destroyed, personal pocket loot is at risk, but cargo stored in the hold should be safe when you recover the ship at a Wharf.

🔭

Press F for a wider ship camera

The zoomed-out ship view is easier for sailing, aiming, and reading naval fights.

💥Naval Combat

🎯

Shoot the stern for critical damage

Cannon hits on the rear of an enemy ship always crit, even from a side angle.

🎯

Hold aim to tighten cannon spread

Keeping your aim held on the same spot narrows the cannon path and improves accuracy.

🧰

Emergency repair with a Wharf

If a sea fight goes bad, land on a nearby island, build a Wharf, and repair the ship instantly.

☠️

Skip boarding ships without chest icons

Small ships with no chest icon usually give poor extra boarding rewards, so sinking them is faster.

↔️

Fight fleets from the middle

When several ships attack, sail between them so both broadsides can fire instead of letting every enemy focus one side.

🛢️

Wait for a cargo ship before ocean looting

Once you have a larger ship with cargo space, floating sea loot is much easier because it goes into ship storage.

⚔️Combat & Builds

🛡️

Learn perfect blocks

Blocking right before impact saves posture and helps break enemy posture for a stun.

🧠

Temporal health can be reclaimed

After taking damage, hit back quickly to recover the darkened part of your health bar.

🎯

Open fights with ranged headshots

Ranged weapons can crit consistently with headshots, then passively reload while you swap to melee.

🔥

Critical builds scale hard late game

Mastery, crit rings, elixirs, food, talents, and crit-focused armor can melt late-game enemies.

📊

Do not over-stack one stat early

Most stats have diminishing returns past 20, so bring key stats to 20 before pushing higher.

🌀

Never drain stamina to zero

If the stamina wheel hits red, recovery slows hard. Stop attacking or dashing around 20-30%, refill, then re-engage.

🏃

Dash exists and matters

Use Ctrl to dodge through danger, especially red unblockable attacks, groups, animals, or moments when block charges are low.

🔄

Respec stats and talents freely

Swap into Vitality for hard fights or Endurance for gathering runs. Talents can also be reset from the talent page.

🗡️

Pick weapon effects over scaling letters

Weapon level and special effects matter more than chasing the best-looking scaling grade.

🧪

Enemies do not fully reset after death

A nearby tent or bell lets you wear hard enemies down over multiple attempts instead of repeating a long runback.

🏗️Building Tricks

🪜

Build ladders and platforms anywhere

Use quick structures to reach ore on cave ceilings, then dismantle them after mining.

🧱

Build barriers against enemies

Temporary walls or fences can block, trap, or delay enemies while you loot or fight safely.

♻️

Dismantling refunds materials

Temporary camps, bells, and many structures can be placed and removed without losing resources.

🏕️

Place a tent before dangerous fights

A cheap respawn point saves long corpse runs when exploring hard islands or boss areas.

🔥

Bonfires heal and refresh comfort

A quick camp with bonfire and decorations can refill health and comfort before the next push.

🛏️

Sleep to skip the night

A simple bed under a roof can fast-forward night, which is useful before long travel or daylight-only farming routes.

🧰

Craft a workbench in the field

You can place a workbench without a bonfire, then craft emergency bandages, repair kits, ammo, or basic supplies.

⛏️Resource Farming

🌳

Shoot trees with ship cannons

Cannon fire knocks trees down from shore; then you only need to chop the fallen logs.

🪵

Hardwood comes from Divi-Divi trees

Search Foothills camps and nearby forests for the distinctive hardwood tree patches.

🌲

Trees respawn away from bonfires

Bonfire range can block tree respawns, so avoid placing fires near farms you want to revisit.

🟠

Copper caves are in Coastal Jungle

Pickaxe-marked caves in the starting biome contain copper and eventually respawn.

⚙️

Iron caves are in Foothills

Iron is mostly in pickaxe-marked Foothills caves, with some rare nodes around rocky mountain areas.

🧪

Sulfur also appears in jungle rocks

White rocks with green mineral flecks can contain sulfur, but require an iron pickaxe.

🧱

Clay sits near sand-to-grass borders

Walk the coastline where beach turns into grass to find clay deposits quickly.

🌽

Corn unlocks the Millstone

Collect corn from Ancient Farm or Ancient Village POIs to craft Millstone parts and make gunpowder.

🪓

Upgrade tools before extra weapons

Copper tools gather much faster, so better axe and pickaxe upgrades pay back across every mining and wood run.

🌿

Dig bushes with a shovel for fiber

Use shovel flatten/dig near dense bushes to pull lots of plant fiber quickly without wasting weapon durability.

🐚

Open scallop shells for pearls

Right-click scallop shells in your inventory to extract pearls for ammo or emergency trading value.

🪵

Use falling trees as dominoes

On slopes or dense forests, aim tree falls into nearby trees to knock multiple trunks down with less chopping.

🍲Food, Farming & Healing

🩹

Carry bandages at all times

They are cheap and heal a lot out of combat, but the healing stops if you get hit.

🔧

Bring repair kits for ships

Repair kits are the ship version of bandages and are efficient outside combat.

🍽️

Stack two food buffs plus an elixir

Two different food buffs can run together, and an elixir can sit on top for hard fights or bosses.

🦀

Seafood Platter is a strong early-mid food

Fish fillets, crab legs, lime, and salt make a powerful Vitality food that greatly increases survivability.

🥥

Coconut Milk with Bananas is stamina food

Use it when you need more Endurance for exploration, mining routes, or long fights.

🍖

Save strong food for combat

Food is wasted during chores around base; keep the best buffs for exploration and fights.

🌾

Do not fall behind on farming

Corn, tomatoes, and flax become major bottlenecks for strong food, fabric, and ship progression.

🎣

Fish while sailing long distances

Cast from the deck and reel in on big splashes to farm fillets during otherwise idle travel time.

🧭Progression & Quality of Life

📚

Blueprints can be shared

Craft a blueprint item for a friend, drop it, and they unlock the schematic too.

♻️

Recycle unused gear

Disassemble weapons and armor you will not use, but store equipped gear first to avoid accidents. Upgrade costs are not fully refunded.

📍

Clear POIs fully for XP

Loot every marked container until the POI counter completes; this grants experience and speeds leveling.

📦

Empty every POI chest completely

If you leave junk in a chest, the POI may not count as cleared. Drop unwanted items on the ground if your bag is full.

🧺

Craft and equip an early bag

Backpacks only help after you equip them in the accessory slot; do not leave your first bag sitting in storage.

⏸️

Looting does not pause combat

Clear enemies before opening chests or death caches, because you can still be hit while browsing loot.

🐗

Get the boar whistle

At the Foothills ancient village statue, offer 20 meat and ritual oils to unlock Truffle the boar.

🏠

Comfort is a huge stamina boost

Place one decoration from each comfort category inside bonfire range, including trophies, to raise comfort level.

Flagships can refresh Rested

Being aboard your flagship can grant Rested based on your highest comfort base, making ship travel smoother.

🧑‍⚕️

Settle Dr. Galen at your bonfire

If he disappears or a quest points to him, use the bonfire settle option. He can also provide useful early healing help.

👨‍🍳

Reassign workers after moving stations

Destroying or moving a crafting station can unassign its worker, so reassign them to restore the bonus.

🗺️

Mark resource hotspots yourself

Use map markers for boars, clay routes, hardwood patches, sulfur rocks, or any dense farm spot you want to revisit.
